|Instant Age Rewind Eraser for Dark Circles|
Here with two concealers to review for you. I recently finished Maybelline's Dream Lumi Touch Concealer ($13.49 at Shoppers Drugmart) and the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Dark Circle Corrector Concealer (also $13.49 at Shoppers). Both of them were correcting concealers, light pink in colour in order to brighten the undereye area. Here they are, in all their glory:
|Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch|
Well now, what to say? These two, though similar in concept, were different in application. Lumi touch was less creamy and opaque than Age rewind. One might think "yes! creamy! opaque! hooray!" - this however, was not a plus for me. I found that the Age rewind felt greasy under my eyes and caused my mascara and liner to smear. Lumi touch set more effectively and, as a result, did not cause as much eye makeup transfer. I also enjoyed that it was such an intense light pink colour, since it looked more natural under the eyes. The one downside of Lumi touch was that it contained little product, and I used it up so soooo fast. All-in-all I didn't repurchase either product. I won't be buying the Age rewind again - too creamy for me. And I'd like to get more product than the Lumi touch had to offer. If forced, I would Lumi over Age any day, mind you.
In sum, the victor in this battle is Lumi touch. The war has yet to be won: I am still on the hunt for an undereye concealer I can really get behind.
